Not all monsters have claws and fangs. Some of them aren't even three feet tall and have the cutest little big eyed faces. Yeah, tried to do something cute. Hope it makes someone giggle.

I started sketching for this project and my wife, looking over my shoulder, said that I always do such dark stuff. So I thought I'd try something cute and pleasant. (I just reposted the image. It will show a full size image now when you click on it.)

Here is mine. I thought it would be interesting to draw on the sphinx from oedipus. A version a little more mythic and sinister in the telling of stories/ riddles.

So I googled mother goose and decided to base mine off of the 1980s syndicate tv show Mother goose & grimm(name could be wrong lol). Anyways, here is my take on it. WALAM! lol

Week Number One--2/10/2010

Post after this thread the first concept is a classic! We will ge working on a theme you can design or SKETCH (4 greg)in any medium. Process sketches are welcome but try to finish your illustration submission by next TUESDAY..... The theme is "Mother Goose" feel free to get loose and rock any interpetation of the theme. I know you may think this is lame but too bad someone can pick next weeks topic.
