" Every one have a Dark side, it just depend how we use them "
I been drawing too much vertical way, so I want to be in a bit side way. A guy in the picture should look like protecting the girl but I don't know, I pull it off
I use one of famous painting from Gustav Klimt "The Kiss" to inspire
He looks like Squall, and has a gunblade lol. Nice K. Although I did like the flowers you had on the girl while you were working on it. I liked it because there was a contrast to all the information that is in your cape, with the giant flowers yet having a good amount of white space inbetween them. Although I think the contrast of shapes in her dress compared to your squares is a good supplement to that. Love the color in the background and the asian lantern-like shapes in the background.
ReplyDeleteK this is nice... i hardly see any squall resemblance but i kno what you meant Greg haha. Well nvm i just looked again and you're right haha. Anyway... i like the shapes you played with in terms of contrast from dark to light... hard edges to round... definitely bringing out a contrast in character as far as using squares for the male and circles for the girl. The palette used for the bg is nice... however the only thing about this piece that bothers me is the seemingly awkward position in which the arm holding the gunblade is in. Based on his shoulder and how the arm seems to be bending back slightly... the way his had is turned downward as he holds the blade seems to be kinda tense... maybe its just me. But id try to find other ways to reposition the arm. Nice on K
ReplyDeleteI like the patterns that your working with, very interesting, and great composition. Very FF, you can really see your influence. I didn't get a protector from the guy, I really got a "cold and distant" type. Really interesting though, I like how you use swirls, and round patterns for the girl and squares for the guy, nice play on the masculine and feminine.
ReplyDeleteI pretty much agree with what everyone else has said, it looks great. I love the bg and the patterns. If i have to find anything, I'd say the squares on the upper half of the females dress seem out of place. But, that if I'm being picky, looks great man.
ReplyDeletereally like the colors in this one and the pattern on the girls clothing. The background is also nicely done, the dull colors really pop the characters forward. Not really digging the pattern on the guys cape, really flatens out the form of the cape. Im geussing you were aware of this, and used it as a stylized choice. If that is the case I think it is very intresting. Also that warm multi color sliver at the bottom left seems a little distracting to me, I think that negative space would work better with out it. Overall really nice work, your sense of color is very cool, very nice piece indeed.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful piece. I especially love the colors on the girls dress. Heavy in influence though - strange combination of FF and Klimt.
ReplyDeleteWas this photoshop, painter or both? Maybe it could have been alittle more loose and painterly in the figures..Love the background color choices..def reminds me of Klimt. Kinda looks like Gustav had baby with an anime artist and this is what it would look like.
ReplyDeleteamazing stuff as susal K....love the Klimt homage
