BUZZZZZZZ

why, what ARE those creatures, making honey down there? They can't be bees—nobody ever saw bees a mile off, you know—' and for some time she stood silent, watching one of them that was bustling about among the flowers, poking its proboscis into them, 'just as if it was a regular bee,' thought Alice.

However, this was anything but a regular bee: in fact it was an elephant—as Alice soon found out, though the idea quite took her breath away at first. 'And what enormous flowers they must be!' '

  1. Nice work! I really like the movement in the composition. With the placement of the flowers and branches it has a nice designed feel to it.

  2. Nice man... Really feelin the surrounding shapes that the plants make on the side of the piece, adds an interesting flow all around the canvas.

Only thing is I'm uncertain exactly what the bee is doing other than flying. It'd be cool to see her encounter it while it's collecting honey or even squirting honey out like an elephant. Think that could add a could add a cool visual element to it. Nice overall though man.

  3. It might have been cool to see it designed from the other angle, seeing from Alice's eyes. Great post, really like the design in the character as well as the composition.

  4. very nice tom, really liking the composition and forground elements. the mid ground and alice in the back seem like they could be further seperated with a subtle change in color or additional atmosphere, maybe use some more of that blue. Also the ground plane comes off to me like a reflective surface, this might of been your intention, but if not maybe some small additional rocks or twigs or something to suggest a jungle floor might help. Really like this piece, one of my favorites. Great work!!!!

  5. The composition definitely moves my eye around the image, I also really like the color. I can see bright vibrant colors without saturation. You really pulled off the lighting. Great Job.
