its a set up


tribesmen vs. monster. I will try to finish this rough sketch sometime this week.

  1. Nice piece. A classic feel, and a very easy read. I really like your play of warms and cools as well as lights and darks.
    I would like to see some more definition in the monsters feet, mostly in the right leg. Also, if you move the creature's left hand into view, I think you can really get some emotional expression from it. Even a strong silhouette of an angry hand would give the view that, or have him reaching out to the cliff side there for more interaction between him and the environment. Just some suggestions, but the piece itself is very successful.

  2. Yeah, lots of areas to fix on this one. I was up late trying to get majority of it done. I didn't have time last night to really notice how bad and incomplete the legs are. Thanks for the input.

  3. dude I like it...reminds me of a Frazetta rough (R.I.P) If you had more time I think you would have polished it nicely.I am feeling your color pallette...nice mood you played up the battle that is about to happen.

  4. i like yours the most for this week, really cool composition, those guys are screwed i'd say :P but that's what i like about it. the anticipation that a great struggle will happen to either run the hell out of there or fight to the death. nice work man
