As for this piece. I'm confused whether or not that is supposed to be a table on the bottom half of the picture. Also why does it fade off, then a tentacle appearing from it?
Personally I'd love to see more narrative in it, but it's all good.
lol... yeah, it's supposed to be the edge of a bed, as if you were looking down at the carpet. I didn't spend enough time on the piece. I should have added another element to convey the idea more, like feet or a hand of someone lying on the bed... something to show you the perspective of the viewer. I just really wanted to get something up before the new theme was announced!
needs more work. the compostition is lacking placeing the tentacle in the middle makes it look more like a portrait rather than an illustration, which might work if that is what you were going for.....you referenced a bed in your comments and I doesn't read like that at all....your carpet looks like tiled floor you would find in the kitchen. I realize that you pushing for the deadline but you can always edit and rework based on crits you recieve. welcome aboard Mr Teng!
