Like the colors you used and the rhythm in the abstract design around the eye. This piece has alot of energy. I know it would negate the narrative, but I like the abstract design so much I think it would be nice to see it stand alone, my two cents. Nice progress.
This reminds me of "The Adventures of Mark Twain." There's that part where an old guy is trying to get into Heaven. He ends up at the gates to some bizarre alien heaven where they dance around to disco tech music. Weird. It's the colors of your piece, though, that remind me of it. Very explosive. It almost feels as if you will experience a spiritual explosion as you pass through the gates in your piece. The top two thirds feel much stronger than the person and gate at the bottom. The colors are strong and pleasant.

ReplyDeleteNice abstract design Thomas. Good energy. Makes you wonder what's behind that gate.
