Sorry for the late post. Don't have internet and my pc is messed up right now. It's not finished yet, so would love to know what you guys think of it so far.
I'm really enjoying this piece. The scratchy circling of his head is a great touch. Perhaps that same technique in another area might strengthen its use. The thick, strong strokes work very well to create an ambiguous and mysterious look to him (isn't that what Batman is to all the crazies that he fights against?) There is one area that keeps grabbing my eye. Between the steeple and batman's cape there is a strip of sky that really stands out. Work with that and I feel that it'd be a much stronger composition. Did I say that I love this piece? Not just enjoying it anymore- loving it!
I moved Greg Edwards to so it will group with the other Batmans....his is the one on the bottom with the cape and mine is the one with the one one top.

ReplyDeleteDid you use a texture for the BG or did you create a really cool brush?
ReplyDeleteThis looks really great - I love the texture, like it's been painted on wood ^_^
