I'm scared of becoming feeble.....losing my mind....forgetting my kids names ....and losing my drawing hand........on top of that...........becoming unsuccessful in the industry. I'm not always taking steps to prevent these things but I use my fear to motivate me.....
quick illustration, tear it up.
It is good to see that we are in the same boat... but now that I see your drawing, I think loosing my hand might not bee too bad... I would look great with a claw... and as far as being successful, just stick with it... if you keep up with the way you are going.. I think you just might make it... As far as the image, I know you said to me that you kinda flushed this one out last min... but your kid one the left seems quite flat, and when I look at the arms... wheel.. and some other details, it looks like as far as the linework, there are a lot of inconsistancies.. (uhh there's a good chance I didnt spell that right...) good job though.. I'd love to see this fleshed out more to a finished drawing.. or to get to see your face as an old man... with a lot of texture and lighting on it..
ReplyDeletekeep up the awesomes!
The claw hand got me cracking up. haha. Yep I am sure this fear is in the back of most of our minds. Great concept.
ReplyDeletewtf?...thats disturbing haha
ReplyDeletei love the illustration! i know the concept is rather saddening to think about :\ sometimes I have worried about such a thing... despite it being a quick sketch, I think this could really go somewhere. the composition is rather well laid-out, being that things keep moving my eye in the illustration. Good work :)
ReplyDeleteMe to me to - Except mine is still having the same mind but being trapped in a feeble body where you can't say what your thinking and need to be helped all the time... (shudder) The words add to the emotion of it as well ^_^
ReplyDeleteThe last time I was in a psychology class, my teacher told us that there's a possibility that alzheimer's might just be a natural occurance; as if, no matter how hard we try or long we're able to live, our mind will just stop working properly.... But as long as we've got hooks!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I would be wasting my time telling you what should be fixed since im sure you already know. Time restraints do show in this one but hey, at least you posted. I find the concept very interesting although, the one thing i have to mention is the absence of a ground line, It looks like they are on a hill (not good for wheelchairs!)
