kind of mirror image of Wonderland: the first book begins outdoors, in the warm month of May, (May 4),[1] uses frequent changes in size as a plot device, and draws on the imagery of playing cards; the second opens indoors on a snowy, wintry night exactly six months later, on November 4..... I didn't know much about the book but I just read the paragraph and I like the idea of the mirror and the seasons. I wish I can color this but I'm running out of time. (cry)
I like the idea that the "looking glass" could be a pond of water... and the image would be all stirred up by the ripples on its surface. good job. I agree that it would have been nice to see color... cry also...
ReplyDeleteI've always liked the "sketchy" look, so just that alone gets two thumbs up. Good use of the mirror effect, adding it to a playing card was an intelligent touch.
ReplyDeleteI really like your interpretation of the two Alice books playing off one another. I would have liked to see bigger differences in the opposing images, but you probably were planning that with the color (also cry because I like your coloring). Love the playing card idea and the composition.
ReplyDeleteI think this one is good concept but the arms look giant I know there is a degree of forshortening but they look awkward to me. every needs to quit crying you will color the next one. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love it. Great execution of your idea. I think upping the contrast on the value could have helped make for a more finished look, and worked around not having time to do full color.
