Welcome back....several of you....nice to see your take on the whole 24 hours to live thing. Not alot of people are emailing me topics. if you are interesteed please do so at tbrillante@verizon.net and I will try to incorperate them.
This one I got from Joe again...two weeks in a row...but I could not pass it up.
This week's topic is........"Big and Small"
it is pretty vague so you can go any direction as long as you can justify it to the theme....juxtapozing something small to something big.....good luck!

24 Hours for me, 2.7 Seconds for you.
Of course like always it's not completely finished but, here you go! It's about getting your enemies before time runs out, 24 hours to be exact! The story of this piece is that i get the news from the doctor that i have 24 hours to live and I decide to finish things before I'm finished!

Return to light
24 hours to live
If I had only 24 hours to live... I'd want to spend that time with the one who hardly knows me but means very much to me. I'd just want to give her that chance to see me one last time, because she would never know me for everything I am and who I really am...except for what people tell her. Anyways... :O
Last Sunset
my final 24 hrs would be without any worries (preferably near the beach). I was just having too much fun with Corel Painter. Rough sketch. I need help in getting the right perspective for the arms.

No this isn't within 24 hours of death
ok so i wasn't able to post my hidden kingdom in the tree a while back, and I had gone through several revisions. the final being this:
...and since this week's concept is 24 hours to live, maybe I'll let this hidden kingdom be the place this next concept takes place... o.O
thanks for everyone's critiques on this while it was still a w.i.p :] and thanks for any further suggestions to make this better (it'll give me somethin to do over break if it's perspective changes XD)

Week 15
Thanks to those that had time to post...this week the topic comes from Mr Joe Clark..... he dropped this one awhile ago and I almost hesitated because it was similar to the last one but that will be part of the challenge. This weeks topic is
"24 hours to live"
"24 hours to live"
sorry i come in last
So this is it... i've had the most hectic week and weekend so sorry i'm late... anyways, my final battle scene involves throwing the devil out to his death... umm hard time finding pose references :P i ended up just doing a rough and then coloring one version that shows the guy grabbing the devil just before he tosses him off to the nether regions.
here's both :O ...and the blue line drawing is what my bff drew for reference for me since we couldn't find any photo references or anythin from life drawings. we collab so that credit goes to ilicia

The Final Fight. Portray a scene in which someone is fighting the final battle to decide the fate of the world or game, event, etc. It can be saving their own world, saving earth from the apocalypse, defeating your rival at chess...anything.

At least it's Something....Wicked!
I intended this to look awesome, but as the gods would have it, Photoshop stopped working. I haven't been at school to work on it but, I shouldn't get much crap though, I mean I am the only one that posted, lol.
If you can't tell, It's supposed to be a Priest, possessed by the Devil....That's pretty Wicked in my opinion.

Week ...un-lucky number 13
So the theme of this weeks topic is to illustrate a picture or what ever comes to mind.....I picked a book and please illustrate or design your concept based on the title. You can choose to illustrate an image based on the book or to go what ever direction you want. The title that will be this weeks topic is
"Something Wicked This Way Comes"
I posted the link for some back story on the book if you are interested in going this route.

I have had a bunch of people hating on the topics but no one is emailing me ideas, so sorry they are what they are but that is the challenge. So if you are interested please email me at tbrillante@verizon.net if you have an idea. Thanks.

The power of books!
Ok so I picked Monsters in my room - I'm not completely happy with it... I kinda suck at drawing things that are scary, no matter how much I try they always seem to come out fat and cute.... It definitely needs some colour too, but I don't know how to colour the night - everything usually ends up just dark... Any advice would be much appreciated.
The story of this is basically in order to combat the monsters she's using books - there's one in there that says "how to combat the monsters in your head" trying to give it a funny edge ^_^
Anyway, hopefully this is the start of many posts ^_^

fear attack
Maybe the worst fear is drowning... or maybe it's being pulled down by some monster in the depths. Either way, fear attacks and holds us back from our full potential. :O
so i realize this still needs a lot of work, but between this and my hidden kingdom as well as classes and a job, this is what I got so far. Based on the critiques from my original post for fear, I've changed the color scheme to match the mood better for the girl, and added the struggle that causes tension - a strange monster like an octopus.

WEAK TWELVE 12
Posting has dwindled to a fragment of nothingness.....I understand that everyone is busy with mid terms and other classes...but I want to give this one more shot. Since my NC Wyeth Painting came out looking not done. I was embarrassed to post it. Enough with the sob story....this week's topic is about redemption.....the topic is "EPIC REDO".... You would have had to post in the past to participate.....but you can go through anyone of your previous sketches and polish that mother up....an opportunity to take unfinished work further. This should be easier being that you have a solid foundation. If you don't not wish to rework and older piece then you can approach an old topic with a new illustration it is up to you......as a matter of fact this blog's success is entirely up to you...we can use this as inspiration and a competitive forum to push our designs or we can let it falter. I have hear many of you wishing to do conceptual work and it is important that you multi task....otherwise when you get into production you may end up a cog in the machine and not pursue your own projects....so please help to keep this thing alive. Thanks!
